CARS, held in conjunction with the International Autobody Congress and Expo (NACE), will be held at the Kobo Center in Detroit July 21-25th.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Nissan, Toyota, and Volkswagen will all provide training at the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) this summer.
CARS, held in conjunction with the International Autobody Congress and Expo (NACE), will be held at the Kobo Center in Detroit July 21-25th.
“The support and participation of the car manufacturers is a significant and a historical development,” said Dan Risley, ASA president and executive director. “Although they’ve provided training in the past, the industry has never experienced so many classes being introduced for the first time at one event.”
He said service and repair professionals will benefit from learning directly from the car manufacturers on how to repair the cars of today and tomorrow.
Several car companies plan to use the show as a platform to launch new training programs.
Attendees will gain insight on the latest in carbon fiber, high-strength steel, and aluminum repair, as well as service ready information and telematics.
OEM training sessions include:
* GM: New Vehicle Technology
* Ford: 2015 F-150 Repair Information
* Toyota: Repair Planning the Toyota Way
* Fiat Chrysler Automobiles: Carbon Fiber
* Honda & Acura: High Strength Steel Repair
* GM: Cadillac CT6 Collision Repair
* Volkswagen: Service Ready
* Honda: Service Ready
Risley said this level of training and information exchange is unique to NACE | CARS 2015 and offers shop owners, management, and technicians and opportunity to gain repair knowledge important to their businesses. No other event offers this level and diversity of repair training.
