Mister Transmission honours long-serving franchisees and technicians

Mister Transmission held its annual general meeting in Toronto this weekend. More than 100 Mister Transmission franchisees and their employees attended the full-day event, representing about 45 stores from across Canada. The event feature awards, supplier presentations, and plenty of opportunities for networking.

Mister Transmission chairman of the board Paul Craven welcomed franchisees to the company’s annual general meeting and conference in Toronto’s west end on March 30.

Franchisees arrived from all across Canada to attend business sessions and award presentations.

Mister Transmission president and CEO Tony Kuczynski addressed the transmission technicians attending technical classes run by ATRA.

It was a full class for technician training put on by the Automotive Transmission Rebuilders Association.

Mister Transmission (International) took time out at its annual general meeting in Toronto on the weekend to recognize some of its franchisees’ long-time employees. Above, Walter Leko from the Woodbridge, Ont, store is congratulated by Mister Transmission president and CEO Tony Kuczynski (middle) and the company’s director of technical support, Joe Pawlowski (right). Leko’s been with Mister Transmission for 30 years. (All told, he’s been rebuilding transmissions for 42 years!) Other long-time employees recognized were: Rafael Gonzalez of Calgary (30 years); Terry Hilton of London, Ont. and Bob General of Stoney Creek, Ont. (both 25 years); and Matt Courneya of Peterborough, Ont., Gintas Cepulis of Winnipeg, and Richard Lewis of Woodbridge, Ont. (10 years).
