Calling all role models

The Automotive Industries Association of Canada (AIA) is looking for established aftermarketers to serve as roles models for young people who might be interested in an automotive career.

Working with Let’s Talk Science, AIA Canada has put out a call for people to take part in surveys, phone conversations, and video shoots as they create a profile of what it takes to work in the automotive aftermarket.

The resources will be made available to young people seeking direction and career advice.

The ultimate goal is to inspire a child to take up a career in the aftermarket; increase visibility of aftermarket businesses and shops; improve the image of the industry; and showcase how STEM skills (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) are relevant to the profession.

Contributions are welcome in both official languages.
