Suspension manufacturer KYB is offering cash incentives to counterpersons who put its products into the hands of automotive service professionals and DIYers.
During the months of May and June, KYB is offering $5 for pairs of KYB shocks or struts and $10 for sets of four. For invoices with fully assembled units, $20 will be awarded for pairs of Strut-Plus, and $25 for sets of four units when 2 of them are Strut-Plus.
According to KYB, the cash incentives will allow jobbers to earn a higher profit, which they can bank or pass on to consumers to build customer loyalty.
This is different from ‘consumer rebates’ that pass the savings on to the consumer for filling out and sending in the proper paperwork, but are more profitable to manufacturers because consumers often forget to send in the paperwork.
The company has more information on the “Parts Pro Rewards” program and tracking sheets on its website.
