U.S. Car Care Council offers an educational tool to help explain to consumers why they need to come in for regular oil changes.
The U.S.-based Car Care Council has released a new video designed to teach consumers about the importance of oil changes.
The video, entitled “It’s Time for an Oil change,” walks motorists through the rationale for regular service, focusing on the value of preventive maintenance.
Produced in conjunction with AutoNetTV Media (ANTV), the new video explains that oil lubricates the moving parts of an engine, and suggests that car owners check their owner’s manual for recommended oil change intervals.
“Performing oil changes at the routine intervals outlined in the owner’s manual is one of the least expensive, yet effective, ways to keep an engine running at peak performance and extend the life of the vehicle,” said Rich White, executive director of the Car Care Council. “Our new video provides useful information to help car owners understand the importance of regular oil changes.”
The new video can be viewed on YouTube.
The Car Care Council is the source of information for the “Be Car Care Aware” consumer education campaign promoting the benefits of regular vehicle care, maintenance, and repair to consumers.
