What a coincidence. The provinces with the highest EV uptake, are the exact provinces that are subsidizing the purchase of these vanity pieces with taxpayer money. This is not a sustainable business model.

I agree with you 100 % Fred Jacquot. 59.3% of the electricity that we are producing to “save” the world including EV’s, is generated from “dirty” sources,(coal and natural gas) The same sources that we are trying to get away from. I believe that the government will be wearing egg on this one when they come to the realization that Hydrogen is the future.
No one has even talked about the “kicking and screaming fight” we will be having with the petroleum industry, who by the way contribute $ millions to the political parties coffers every year.

This “electric vehicle” lie needs to stop…We do not have the electricity in the grid! The entire concept is not possible! Hydrogen and other alternative fuels are not even mentioned…Three main reasons why it’s a farce- 1. Energy demand would exceed capacity. 2. Enviro impact for new electric cars is massive/ Not enough lithium on the planet. (the best for the planet would in fact be to use what you have until it’s worn out, and then replace it). 3. The climate change crisis is a hoax, especially in Canada where we have a negative carbon foot print…Sure electric cars are an option but the “mandates” are not achievable or even possible.
