Nova Scotia to Offer Sessions Regarding New Standards and Regulations for the Collision Repair Industry


Informational sessions will be held throughout Nova Scotia on the latest federal and provincial regulations and standards applicable to the collision repair industry.

These are joint sessions by Environment Canada held in conjunction with the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Workforce Development as well as the Collision Repair Association of Nova Scotia (CRANS).

Topics to be discussed will include recent federal regulations for automotive paints and coatings, certification and apprenticeship training for the collision repair industry, and Nova Scotia Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations.

Information sessions will be held at local campuses of the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) on the following dates:

Jan. 19, Dartmouth, Akerley Campus, 21 Woodlawn Rd, Lecture Room 6-8pm

Jan. 21, Bridgewater, Lunenburg Campus, 75 High St., Room B103 6-8pm

Jan. 26, Yarmouth, Burridge Campus, 372 Pleasant St., Room C181 6-8pm

Jan. 28, Kentville, Kingstec Campus, 236 Belcher St., Theatre B (A108) 6-8pm

Feb. 9, Springhill, Cumberland Campus, 1 Main St., Lecture Room 229 6-8pm

Feb. 11, Truro, Truro Campus, 26 Arthur St., Forrester Hall, Room 224 6-8pm

Feb. 16, Port Hawkesbury, Strait Area Campus, 226 Reeves St., Room 208 6-8pm

Feb. 17, Sydney, Marconi Campus, 1240 Grand Lake Rd, Room B101B 6-8pm
