Walter wins Business of the Year

Walter Surface Technologies has received the award for High Technology and Innovation, as well as the grand prize, Business of the Year Award, from the West Island of Montreal Chamber of Commerce.

The 30th Accolades Competition celebrates business excellence and leadership in the West-Island business community in Montreal. The ceremonies were held on June 11th, at the Marriott Airport Hotel.

The West Island of Montreal Chamber of Commerce selected Walter for the Business of the Year Award for continuing its mission to promote the economic well-being of the Montreal business community and for its involvement in regional and national business issues and activities.

The company also takes a leadership role in environmental sustainability in the community with a modern head office and manufacturing facility that is ISO certified and 100% LEED GOLD certified.

Walter was also presented the award in the category of High Technology & Innovation for distinguishing itself in the Research and Development of new products, processes and technologies that help customers work better.

“It is a great honor to have won these two awards as they are a reflection of one of our company’s key values to strive for excellence in all that we do” stated Claude Vandemeulebroocke, general manager for Canada at Walter Surface Technologies. “We are elated to be among the many great organizations that make up our business community and that are also working to promote and expand economic development throughout Montreal and across Canada.”
