Emissions training in Woodbridge, Ont.

The Emissions Control Team from Walker says it is ready to help reduce costly returns through a first-of-its-kind, advanced Emissions Control Diagnostics Workshop designed specifically for automotive repair professionals.

MIL-related emissions comebacks cost automotive service businesses millions of dollars every year.

The Emissions Control Team from Walker says it is ready to help reduce costly returns through a first-of-its-kind, advanced Emissions Control Diagnostics Workshop designed specifically for automotive repair professionals.

According to Walker, this workshop covers proven emission diagnostic procedures and strategies that will help your team make fast, accurate and complete decisions related to PO420 codes and any other suspected emissions control issues.

The event will be held April 16, at Rosa’s Place (3650 Langstaff Rd.) in Woodbridge, Ont. Cost is $85 per person.

The instructor will be Kris Lewis, a trainer who is also an automotive technician, and former shop manager. While still working in the bay, part-time, he’s well aware of what technicians deal with on a daily basis. In addition, he has a handle on the pulse of what real-world technicians are faced with daily, by working on a technical support hotline, where he handled 15-20 “Diagnosis to Completion” cars per day.

His unique way of putting things in laymen’s terms, has also helped him with another facet of his part-time projects, which is being associated with a nationally syndicated call-in radio show for the automotive consumer market.
