Corey Miller Named President of Tirecraft Canada

Corey Miller, president of the Miller Tirecraft chain based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, has been named as president of Tirecraft Canada, effective November 1.
Miller’s family-owned company joined the Tirecraft group in November of 2009, landing the exclusive rights to the Tirecraft and Signature programs for all four Atlantic provinces. Since then, they have added two corporate and 13 associate store locations for a total of 23 outlets.
“I’m very excited to be taking on the president’s position and I’m looking forward to working with our regional teams across the country to further enhance our brand and program effectiveness, said the 35-year old Miller, from his regional head office in Halifax.
“The Tirecraft program has opened a lot of doors for us in such a short time. It continues to offer countless opportunities going forward – not only for increased membership – but for many new business tools and enhancements, as well.”
Like the outgoing president Don Gauthier, Miller will serve a two-year term before handing the reigns over. Miller is no stranger to the industry scene, having chaired the 2008 Tire Dealer Association of Canada National Conference and currently serves as the chair of Tirecraft’s national retail strategic planning committee.
Gauthier will now focus on his general manager responsibilities for Tirecraft Ontario and said he was pleased with the progress that the national organization has made over the past two years.
“When we initially ‘rebooted’ the Tirecraft program, we planned on keeping it regional. But within the first year we knew we had to go national because our suppliers and customers alike were looking for consistent coverage across the country,” explained the tire industry veteran “We are now there with representation in all provinces. Probably the most gratifying part is that we have done it with partners who have a ton of integrity, are very much hands on in day-to-day operations, share a common “team vision” and are very much committed to growing the Tirecraft brand together. It’s been an awesome ride and we couldn’t have done it without our membership who has put their trust in us.”
