This 2001 Dodge Caravan was towed into Centre Mondial de l’Automobile in Bealac-Garthby, Quebec. When technician and tow-operator, Isaac Custeau went to hook it up he was speechless.
He writes, “The rear leaf springs were broken and what the guy did to fix it is unbelievable. A piece of wood here, another one there, a little wire and voila!”
The team at Centre Mondial explained to the customer how dangerous this fix was, not only for himself as the driver, but everyone on the road. The customer understood but declined the proper repair.
The van is in the shop’s back yard now, waiting to be scrapped.
