The training division of Automotive Parts Distributors wrapped up 2018 with three sold-out brake clinics.
About 430 students took part in APD’s training in Calgary, Edmonton and Saskatoon last year. The technical class numbers don’t include the online courses and other training options offered.
The Prairie markets are staying on top of technology changes, said Zara Wishloff, Edmonton-based vice president of sales at APD.
“On top of these impressive numbers, we also brought ‘My Shop’ training to ASPs. The factory GM trainer works with our territory managers to bring the training to our clients,” added Zara Wishloff. “We were also the first distributor to bring Uni-Select propulsion training to the west with three different hands-on diesel courses in 2018”
APD offers an impact wrench as a door prize at every clinic as their way of thanking technicians for attending the classes.
Gallery of winners can be viewed on APD’s Facebook page. 2019 clinics can be seen and registered on APD website, www.apdparts.ca.
