It was a surprise to see these on display at AAIW because, although we were aware of the Silcencio product, we weren’t expecting their availability until at least spring. Silencio wiper blades feature a wear indicator on the blade that indicates when it’s time to replace them. The wear indicator, made of the same material as the blade, is designed to degrade at precisely the same rate, and turns yellow when the blade needs to be replaced. The quality blades feature a new rubber-based composition which is more flexible, for better contact with the windshield and less deformation of the blade in use, and an exclusive coating which protects the blade from wear factors such as UV rays, ozone and pollution. The result is a more efficient, silent wiper, which tells you precisely when you need replacement. Contact: Valeo Aftermarket Inc., 4575 Pleasant Hill Rd., Suite 101, Memphis, TN 38118.
